That’s exactly what the “x” represents. You’ll see “x=independently organized TED event” below each TEDx logo because it’s all about the community behind that particular event. It’s about representing the community and how we come together to share ideas and stories, inciting positive change and making a difference.

Volunteer Teams


This team will consist of speaker coaches and coordinators for those presenting a talk at the event.


This team will help market the event and needs of the team. They will also manage the social media accounts.


This team helps fill swag bags and work with partners to help make the event financially sound.


This team is active during the event and manages the overall experience for our volunteers. They will coordinate efforts cross-team.


This team is all about the stage and its setting and design. They will coordinate all efforts for the stage and production of the event.


This team will help manage ticketing and the overall experience of the guests of the event.


This team gets to work the soundboard and ensure all speakers, performers, and recordings are heard on stage and video.


This team gets to record the talks, edit and upload the talks after the event.


This team will help us capture the memories of TEDxRoseburg from start to finish, from volunteering to lighting up the stage.

Technical Team

This team will help make sure the technical needs are met for the event, such as ensuring the speakers’ timer and slides work during their presentation.
